CANCEL CULTURE | Coming from a person who has loved Disney his whole life, this is hard to say: But the current running of that company is trash. Absolute garbage. Bowing to the Twitter mob and applying an absolute double standard of speech between Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano is something I cannot support. Disney’s internal spineless review process, and mischaracterization of her being bigoted and supposed anti-LBGQT, is just terrible.
After reviewing all the facts here, she has done nothing wrong at all. This is especially true given what Disney’s standard has been by allowing Pedro Pascal to post objectively worse postings accusing those who voted for Trump to be equal of slave supporters of the American South or Nazis who killed millions of Jews in WWII.
Allowing internal Disney employees to bash another employee publicly online for an internal conflict is also terribly wrong as well.
I have canceled all my Disney subscriptions. I have also paid money to Daily Wire to support them supporting Gina. I am not supporting a media company that has its moral bearings so fucked up that they can’t stand behind their people in a consistent and fair manner - and firing Gina for having a strong independent opinion who is obviously a woman - while letting a man on the opposite sides of a political argument - say even worse things than she did is a political purge. It’s the kind of bullying we are rightly taught to fight against.
Kathleen Kennedy, a moral busy body of the worse kind, is fond of saying the “force is female” ostensibly to empower women except when she is faced with a woman who is also stronger physically and mentally only shows how corrosive their ideology is.
The capitulation to this Twitter mob of unhinged ideologues has literally warped consistency, fairness, free speech, and the economic freedoms of people who have the right to speak freely - but also be treated consistently alongside those doing the exact same things. Letting out of control internal employees bash a fellow employee on social media for internal affairs is fucking wrong as well. Those internally who aired internal criticisms in a public manner should be held to account. But it’s apparent Disney can’t see that either.
Terrible.
I can’t imagine what this out of control executive management is thinking - except they are part of the problem of this ideological purge-tastic Twitter mob. They not only enable it - they probably agree with it as well.
More terribleness.
What they did to Gina *is* textbook bullying and at heart an ideological purging only applied in her direction. These tactics never end well.
So, sorry Walt. I only have one sentiment right now for the idiots running your fantastic company in to the ground.
Fuck Disney and their management until they get with the program and grow a spine - because I am not supporting a company that can’t take care of the lowest kind of hanging fruit there is: Protecting and standing up for common American principles of speech, individualism, and basic human right for fairness.
I am supporting Gina C. to the extreme after this. And I am also not standing in silence while Disney turns into a giant behemoth arm of the trash Twitter mob. I am not doing that.

One final note: I challenge anyone to watch this interview and not walk away from it and not at least give her the benefit of the doubt in her as a person and seeing how this Disney action is simply wrong. I have hopes that more people of Gina’s perspective stand up for individuals, art, and fighting a good fight provide the role models we need in today’s world.
